Closing Within 28 Days

One of the most impressive features of the NACA mortgage process is its ability to close loans within 28 days of the executed Purchase and Sale Agreement. This timeline is ambitious, but many members have successfully closed within that timeframe. However, reaching this goal requires members to be diligent and cooperate fully with the process deadlines. For example, NACA expects the home inspection to be completed by the member the day after the contract is executed, updated financial documents to be submitted within three days, and the file submitted to underwriting by the fifth day. Conditions from the lender must be addressed promptly, homeowners’ insurance secured within two weeks, and the property cleared by NACA’s HAND department for condition compliance by the fifteenth day. If these benchmarks are met, the lender can issue a clear-to-close by day twenty-three, allowing for a property walk-through and closing by day twenty-eight.
